Macro

The necessary background information for this post is the following:

  1. I’m in love with the Pioneer Woman, in the most chase, platonic, seemly, holy way possible. I want her to be my friend. I want her to be my sister’s friend. I want her to be friends with all my friends. I, in fact, had a dream once that my (now ex-)boyfriend and I got separated at a big concert, and where did I go in my distress, as I had no phone? To the Pioneer Woman’s house. Never mind that it’s in an undisclosed location in Oklahoma somewhere and the concert in my dream was clearly here in Chicago. We made pasta. I met her family. All was right again. And then just at the end, somehow, the bf showed up trying to explain something about dead phone batteries or …. anyway.
  2. She (that’d be Ree, the Pioneer Woman) does photography contests on her blog. She’s really quite a gifted amateur photographer herself – her food shots come out just gorgeous. The contests are on some theme: dogs, cats, green, etc. etc.

OK, I think we’re all caught up now. So the latest contest is on macro. I’m not sure if my definition of macro is the same as hers, but be that as it may, my plans are to enter the following (you can only enter one per day):
another sort of rose
butterfly
Pollination

If you have any other suggestions from my Flickr page, I’m happy to take them. There was one I found in my photo files, but alas for me, I think it was one of my sister’s. So I hope she enters it.
